The innovative Hyperdub-signed musician and producer from the north of England works with the acclaimed German light, video, and scenography artist to present a powerful, and entertaining, audiovisual performance, using her 2021 album i’m hole as a launch point. Previous iterations of this collaboration have appeared at London’s Southbank Centre, the 2023 Venice Music Biennale, and Berlin’s Atonal Festival.

aya’s work is primarily concerned with the transfigurative power of experience and memory on the physical body. A monthly radio resident on NTS, she has previously released music with Local Action, 2BReal, Tri Angle Records, Astral Plane Recordings, and Wisdom Teeth, while co-runing the YCO label with BFTT.

MFO has been working in tandem with electronic music since the early 2000s, spending the last decade touring extensively with artists like Aisha Devi, Ben Frost, Caterina Barbieri, and Tim Hecker, while also working as Berlin Atonal’s director for

light and visuals. He explores perception and cognition, memory, and identity, and their dissolution in mind-altering experiences.
