CTM

Posh Isolation 15 year anniversary

The Copenhagen-based, classically-trained musician and composer Cæcilie Trier has received critical acclaim at all stages of her career. Notably, her album 2016 Suite For A Young Girl was nominated for the prestigious Nordic Music Prize, followed quickly by praise for her three albums on Posh Isolation – including the collaborative Celeste with August Rosenbaum. Her most recent release is last year’s Vind, consisting of 12 solo cello compositions with enhanced rhythm, evoking distant memories of the kora, a pensive flute, or foley sounds. As such, it follows her musical arc, reflecting tactile perceptions, movements, feverish dreams, and memories. Her use of the relations between composed structures, pop sensibility, and undetermined improvisations creates a poetic and open atmosphere.

In addition to her solo work as CTM – which stands for Cæcilie Trier Musik – she is known for her manifold collaborations with a vast field of musicians in many styles.  Aside from working with musicians like Dawda Jobarteh, Boli Group, Frederik Valentin & Loke Rahbek, Soho Rezanejad, Coco O, and Choir of young believers, she has also partnered with dancer Skjold Rambow for a performance which has appeared at events such as Berlin Atonal and locations such as Oslo’s Munch Museet.
