Mark Fell is nothing short of a legend in the world of electronic music and experimental art and culture. His Discogs page is a veritable treasure hoard: Raster-Noton, Line, Mille Plateaux, Pan, Editions Mego – you name it. Being as close to aristocracy as you can get in the dodgy society of electronic music, Mark Fell is anything but posh. Growing up in the Thatcher-pestered South Yorkshire, Fell’s father was a steel-worker. In a mutated sort of way, Mark pursued the same line of work, melting pieces of rhythms, sounds and visual elements together, always labouring hard and never taking anything for granted. Fell’s focus on inclusiveness and cooperation has earned him much adoration as well. Mark Fell has been a resident at IAC and will present a work partly developed during his stay here.
